Although a protected marine reserve, the waters around the island of Ko Chang still suffer the effects of hundreds of fishing nets everyday. The use of strong spot lights at night make it to easy for the fish to fall pray, getting no time to reproduce. Many of these boats have now turned to tourism instead. They transport thousands of mindless party goers out to the corral reefs everyday. They cast there anchors on the corral leaving there rubbish floating around the many beautiful islets.
