This is Pwe Htang a 70 year old lady from the Daai Tribe. She lives in a small hamlet outside Kampetlet. Pwe learned to play the nose flute and a small, harp type instrument at the age of 14. She learned to play by watching others in the village. At the young age of 15 she decided to have her face tattooed. She recalls how there was a lot of pressure put on her by others in the village. They explained that she would not be able to find a husband without the tattoos. She did marry eventually but her husband died recently and she now lives with her only son. Chin State, Myanmar, 2017
