Hannelore and her mother Esmeralda ride Mara and Suna to the delight of a small crowd of children. After their act Esmeralda must rush back to the caravan were she has left dinner simmering. Meanwhile Hannelore goes back to her own caravan, changes to her next costume and finds a moment to send her friend an sms.
Esmeralda finds time to cook the family dinner, before she must rush out and put her life in the hands of the elephant which she so lovingly calls Mara. When asked if he fears for his wifes safety, Frank replies "as long as she is lying under the elephant i know she won't be going anywhere".
Milena, outside her home caravan, were she lives with her young daughter. Milena is a trapeze artist from Italy, contracted by the circus Berlin on a seasonal basis. In her spare time Milena passes her knowledge onto her daughter, who already has a small part to play in the circus, and who dreams of being a trapeze artist like her mother one day.
