Meet Eliza and Frances Lopez. The two sisters hesitated and debated before answering the question i put to them 'how would you like to be known?'. Servants of Jesus Christ and Preachers of the everlasting gospel was their answer. Their faith is the most important thing in there lives. It's what has kept them together during many hardships and it's what keeps them focused in their undertaking to achieve God's approval.
Eliza (74) is the oldest of the two sisters. At the age of 31, during a bad spell of flu, she stayed at home from work. It was then that she suddenly felt compelled to reach for a small gospel book that was lying around the house and began to read. This small book was to change not just her life but also that of her sister and mother. Eliza felt that she should start reading the bible proper and so she bought one. She has not stopped reading it everyday since. Her sister and her mother were encouraged by her dedication, and by 1984 all three of them had decided to take to the streets and preach the gospels.
After their mother died in 1996 the sisters continued to live together. Eliza, a retired seamstress has taken the role of housekeeper, whilst Frances works in a local fabric store. Although they don't preach in the streets any longer they still spend long hours reading the bible and adapting it to their daily lives.
